The first thing I asked Gopi after the narration got over is how important is the underwater sequence, is it very imperative for the film or whether we can do without it. To my utter shock, Gopi said that it cannot be changed and he would like to shoot the sequence underwater and he would prefer not changing it,” Pinkvilla reported.  Talking about the hardships she endured practicing swimming, Rani said, “I realized that it was going to be a huge challenge for me going forward with the film to do this particular underwater sequence. Doing an underwater shot is still ok if they are just beauty shots as one can still manage it however doing action underwater gets very challenging. I spoke to Gopi and gradually told him that unfortunately, his lead actor does not know to swim and he was utterly shocked. He was then in a dilemma of how this sequence is ever going to take place. I requested Gopi to keep the underwater sequence as the last thing that we will shoot for the film so I could get time to practice swimming and also try to get rid of my fear." Mardaani 2    is the sequel to 2014 drama-action film. The film will be released on December 13.

Thanksgiving recap + Black Friday steals

 Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope that those of you who celebrated yesterday had a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Ours was filled with family, lots of amazing food, and time outdoors. Not much more you could wish for. (Ok, just one thing: that the Pilot could have been here, but alas he was doing that work thing.)

The day started off bright and early (a little too early). I made breakfast burritos for the girls and they watched a show while I caught a quick Peloton ride. After spinning, I put Nana’s egg casserole in the oven (the best!) and we got ready to head to Kyle and Meg’s for breakfast.

At their house, we drank coffee, ate breakfast, watched the parade, and looked at the Black Friday sales fliers. It was such a fun and relaxing start to the day.

We came back home, and I put the finishing touches on Ina’s roasted maple carrot salad. (I made the dressing and did the first roast of the carrots the night before. This way they only needed to roast one more time with the maple syrup for about 15 minutes. I also started soaking the cranberries that morning since I knew we’d be gone most of the day.) Instead of goat cheese, I used this nut cheese from Whole Foods and it was AWESOME. It was a little tangy and paired perfectly with the remaining ingredients. (The salad was totally gone by the end of the night, so I don’t think anyone minded a lil cashew cheese.)

We packed up everything and headed to my Uncle’s house for Thanksgiving dinner with my dad’s side of the family. It was SO much fun watching all of the cousins run around. They’re all getting to the ages where they just want to play, all day long, and it’s a blast watching them together.

(We have a family member who is Celiac, so there were a ton of gluten-free options at dinner including stuffing, gravy, and two types of pie. I’ve been avoiding gluten and dairy for the most part because of the dang gallbladder situation but was going to eat whatever because Thanksgiving. I ended up eating gluten-free all day, maybe had a small amount of dairy, and my stomach didn’t hurt at all, which was very much appreciated.)

MUMBAI: A year after Bollywood followed Hollywood by naming male predators accused of sexual harassment, many women say they have suffered while alleged perpetrators are back in the limelight.In the US, #MeToo triggered the downfall of powerbrokers including Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, and Brett Ratner. Victims were hailed as trailblazers for speaking out, and millions of dollars were raised to support their cases.In Bollywood, women have faced a backlash, campaigners say.When singer Sona Mohapatra accused composer Anu Malik of sexual misconduct she was told to vacate her judge´s seat on TV talent show, "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa"."I was marked as a troublemaker and asked to leave. Overnight," Mohapatra said last month. Programme producers Zee TV denied her claims, telling AFP her departure had "no connection" with #MeToo.The maelstrom forced Malik, who also had a molestation case filed against him in the 1990s, to stand down last year as a judge on the Sony TV show "Indian Idol".He was later reinstated. But after campaigners fought back, Malik, who has dismissed the allegations as "false and unverified", announced his departure for a second time last week.It was a rare victory for #MeToo in Bollywood, where many high-flyers accused of harassment and even rape have revived their careers after lying low for a few months.Director Vikas Bahl, whose name was initially removed from the credits of the hit movie "Super 30" following a sexual misconduct complaint, was reinstated after being cleared by an internal committee, which reportedly did not involve the victim.Filmmaker Subhash Kapoor, on trial for molestation, was initially dropped from a movie produced by Aamir Khan, one of Bollywood´s most-feted actors. Police refused even to register her harassment complaint."I lost friends, I lost work, I went through periods of depression."When your work is taken away from you, you feel like you have no reason to wake up sometimes," she said.Dutta repeated the claims in an interview a decade later, triggering an outpouring by women across India.Police agreed to accept her 2008 complaint but closed the case in June, citing insufficient evidence.Dutta accused them of deliberately botching the investigation.Patekar, who has repeatedly denied the allegations, did not answer AFP interview requests.For Dutta, who plans to appeal the police decision, #MeToo is only a beginning."I never set out to be a revolutionary," she said."But they already destroyed my career so what have I got to lose? The actor while taking a road trip to Manali and relishing in the simplicity of small town life was convinced that this was the life he was missing. “Tranquil .. essence of the freshness .. the winter feel, the purity hopefully of the air .. and a rest after 5am to now .. there is great humility and joy of felicitations en route .. the simplicity of the smaller town reigns supreme .. as does the generous hospitality .. we can never match their honesty and simplicity,” he wrote. “Another new environ and another readjustment to room and its accoutrements,” he wrote adding: “I must retire .. the head is thinking something else and the fingers another .. its a message.”BigB reached Manali for work purposes as he gets ready to shoot. A source told Mumbai Mirror that: “Amitji is in Manali, for the next few days before he moves to another shoot in a foreign location in early December. The film’s antagonists, Mouni Roy and Saurav Gurjar, too, will be a part of this schedule, that requires some amount of prep before the camera rolls.”

She talked about media’s escalating its attention towards Taimur, saying that she doesn’t want to ‘hide’ him from the media, but he should be given some space. "I don’t want him to grow up in a way where I’m covering my child’s face. I think that would scar him even more," he said. Nobody knows my equation with him (Taimur)."

Varun Dhawan escapes major accident while shooting for 'Coolie No1' Varun Dhawan reportedly escaped a major accident during the shooting of his upcoming project Coolie No1. The project also co-stars Sara Ali Khan and is directed by David Dhawan.According to reports, the team of Coolie No1 was performing a stunt outside Pune where Varun had to give a few close-ups in a car hung upside down from a cliff. During the shoot, it was being realised by the team and Varun that the car doors got jammed with him being inside and the car dangerously ‘balanced on the edge’ of the cliff, but fortunately, the actor escaped unharmed after getting rescued by one of the stunt coordinators.It is being claimed that the stunt was rehearsed a couple of times before getting actually shot, and all safety precautions were being taken by the producers and directors. Keeping the situation under consideration, Varun seemed calm throughout the whole scene and got rescued eventually.Varun was last seen in the recently released Kalank, while Sara last starred in Simmba.

MUMBAI: The versatile actress and showbiz industry's  fascinating personality Kajol has revealed  about her strong bond with  the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan.The 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'  star had a session of "ask me anything" on Instagram. She brilliantly responded to the queries fired at her, many of which were about her equation with longtime co-star and friend Shah Rukh Khan. Soon after the announcement, Kajol found herself trending, particularly for her  answer to the  question, asking: "Would you marry SRK if you didn't Ajay Devgn?" She, in good humour of course, responded to the user with these words: "Isn't the man supposed to be proposing?" LOL. Kajol was also asked to define her "bond" with Shah Rukh and she described him as "Friend for life." Replying to another query, about her preference to work with  Shah Rukh Khan or Ajay Devgn, who her preferred co-star is. She replied: "Depends on the situation." Fans continued asking about a possible reunion with Shah Rukh on screen, when she said "Ask SRK".Kajol and Shah Rukh, co-stars of several hits, are  still  the  much liked on-screen couple. The duo's iconic romance 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', released in 1995, has been running in Mumbai's Maratha Mandir theatre for over two decades now.The duo co-starred for the first time in 1993 hit Baazigar, which marked the actress' second Bollywood film. Shah Rukh was already married to Gauri Khan by then and Kajol got married to Ajay Devgn in 1999. Kajol and Shah Rukh have also enthralled audiences with films such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham..., My Name Is Khan and were last seen together in Dilwale.
