The flaws in Pakistan’s e-commerce policy framework

Pakistan’s e-commerce policy framework, which was announced last month, aims to implement measures which could be beneficial for the overall e-commerce environment in the country, however, the polices could also prove to be rather short-sighted in nature. Giving percentage rebates of 1% on local gateways and higher subsidies to local businesses to export their products is a solution which will benefit no one since these subsidies are coming out of the national expenditure at the end of the day.
