COAS makes teenage girls battling cancer honorary soldiers

RAWALPINDI: Two teenage girls battling cancer were granted their wish to become soldiers for a day by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.13-year-old Javeria Alam and 15-year-old Ruba Rafique met Lahore corps commander on behalf of the army chief and were made honorary soldiers for the day. Javeria and Ruba laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada. The girls had their wish come true when they were made soldiers for a day. They were also given a tour of the army museum.
